One of the larger reasons I wanted to return to music blogging, honestly, was to be able to write more about bands like Bowerbirds, bands that I’ve come to hold close to my heart but which, sadly, not nearly enough people are paying attention to. Of course, some people are (John Darnielle stated they are his favorite band, and Bon Iver brought them along on tour last year), but still: not enough. Especially when you consider how wonderful they are, how talented; the small amount of attention paid them is way out of whack with how incredibly good they are.
So, consider this a public service. For your own good, for the sake of your ears, go out and get their latest record, Upper Air.
